https://help.rugsusa.com/customer/en/portal/articles/968976-what-are-the-shipping-costs- What are the shipping costs? At Rugs USA, shipping is always FREE to the contiguous United States.

If you are shipping your package to Canada, please be advised there is a 35% shipping charge. Additionally, you will be responsible to pay any duties, brokerage and customs fees to UPS upon delivery.

-- The policy on their website is very clear. I suggest that you do more research next time.

Hello, I am sorry to hear about your bad experience with RUgsUSA. I too have had a terrible experience with RugsUSA.

I received a rug that was damaged by the shipper. It had been dragged along concrete and the binding was torn along one edge. Rugs USA will neither refund nor replace my rug. Thu told me I would have to wait until UPS processes a damage claim and then they would get back with me if/when they approve the damage claim.

This is OUTRAGEOUS treatment of a customer. I would encourage you to file complaints against them with the BBB and FTC. Here are the links to get started. I submitted complaints to both and it took me less than five minutes each.

I believe Consumers should take the time to report companies with unfair business practices to protect other unsuspecting people from encountering the same problem.

THEY SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE RUG AND CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSES TO WORK WITH ME ON EXCHANGING OR REFUNDING THE RUG. I APPLIED A NORMAL CARPET CLEANER THAT I HAVE BEEN USING FOR YEARS WITHOUT PROBLEMS TO A SMALL DIRT STAIN. THE DYE FROM THR CARPET BLED CAUSING COLORS TO BLEND. RUG LASTED 2 MONTHS. CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSES TO USE DESCRETION AND ALLOW THE EXCHANGE BECAUSE IT WAS PAST 14 DAYS OF THE PURCHASE DATE. THEY ADVERTISE EXPERT SUPPORT BUT ITS FAR FROM THAT. THEY ALSO WILL NOT ALLOW NEGATIVE PRODUCT REVIEWS. THEY INFORMED ME I SHOULD HAVE CALLED A PROFESSIONAL CLEANER. YOU DONT HAVE YOUR RUGS PRIFESSIONALLY CLEANED EVERY TIME YOU HAVE SMALL STAIN OR ELSE YOU WOULD NEED IT DONE EVERY WEEK!

Similar thing happened to me. Ordered and tried to cancel 15 minutes later.

No answer on their phone. Sent an email and called again in the morning. They said the order was not on the truck yet and that they would try to cancel and call or email me right back. Within minutes I get an email saying that they shipped it (even though I had just been told that it was not on the truck).

No return call. I called again and was told that their was no record of my contact. I have it in my call history and I have a copy of the email I sent them. She insisted that she took "notes" on all her calls and that she did not speak to me previously.

I asked to speak with the manager and was told that the manager would email me within 48 hours.....well obviously that doesn't do me any good since they now have shipped a rug that I do not want and it would be to expensive to return.

I should have known...previously I ordered a rug that smells and I have tried everything to remedy the situation. DO NOT DO business with these crooks.
